Abstract

During June and July abundant material of three fleshy fungi (Helvella gigas, Caloscypha fulgens, and Discina ancilis) was obtained in the Medicine Bow National Forest in the southern Wyoming. Unfortunately, collecting in Jackson Hole during August was not so rewarding. Because of the extremely dry conditions, only one fungus, Cortinarius sp., was collected in a quanity sufficent for determination of levels of cesium 137 and strontium 90. Project Number 101.
