Abstract

The objectives include both ecological and behavioral aspects of the Jackson Hole coyote population. Scat was collected from designated trails as well as from five denning areas. Ten active dens were located and a trapping procedure was initiated with 18 coyotes marked and released to date. Various aspects of social, non-social, and interspecies behavior were observed and described. Project Number 168.
