Abstract
A comparison was made of the vegetation both within five exclosures and on immediate grazed areas possessing similar edaphic, climatic and topographic features. The study was conducted in the Jackson Hole region of Wyoming during the summer months of 1956, 1957 and 1958. The primary objectives were (1) to locate relicts suitable for use in the study of range conditions, (2) to identify, measure and classify the vegetation within the relicts and (3) to determine the nature of the vegetative response to the existing grazing pressures.
