Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I have participated in the Democracy Laboratory. At the present moment, the journal only accepts submissions from participants in this cohort program.
  • I have included a short bio in the submission or have sent one via email to humanities@uwyo.edu.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) file format.
  • Footnotes are provided for each reference. The citations in the footnotes are in their "short form," as outlined by the Chicago Manual of Style.
  • A bibliography is included at the end of the document, providing a full citation for all works referenced in the text. Citations are formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style.
  • In the bibliography, DOIs have been provided (when available) for all academic references, and URLs have been provided for non-academic references. These links are included as the final element of each citation.
