Temporary suspension of new submissions

In view of a completely unmanageable volume of submissions, starting from 3 November 2026 (Eastern European Time), ELA will no longer accept new articles for a temporary period of time, which will be necessary for the Editorial Board and the management of ILAS to focus on the implementation of new policies.

Our goal is to adopt a new peer review system that will continue to guarantee scientific rigour while also taking into account the drastic changes brought to mathematics by new technologies. We expect to accept new papers again at the latest in February 2027; this announcement will be updated in due course as soon as we are able to confirm an exact reopening date.

The management of papers currently under consideration will continue as normal during this period.
